“Pops is no longer doing a daily Storytime Live. However, watch for details about our weekly “Storytime Fun-Shop”, coming soon. We’ll put the details right here shortly!

About the Skwerdlock!

The Skwerdlock showed-up early one morning about 45 years ago, and has been living with Pop’s daughter Tricia ever since.

The Skwerdlock would never do anything to hurt anyone or to cause any problems. But sometimes, just being a Skwerdlock means that strange things can happen when a Skwerdlock is nearby. These little stories are a friendly reminder of what can happen when a Skwerdlock is around.

And, if the illustrations seem a bit “amateurish”, that’s something Pops and the Skwerdlock have done intentionally. They both love really nice illustrations, but they also want to remind your young storytellers they don’t have to be “perfect” to create a really good story.

Today, along with their books, Pops and the Skwerdlock share their stories with groups in libraries, schools and other groups in the usual Skwerdlockian mix of imagination, humor, stickers, and a bit of magic.

Skwerdlock Books!

Pops says, “The Skwerdlock has been very special in our family for a long time, and I hope others will have the same kind of fun. This first book in the Skwerdlock series will tell you about the first time we met. This is a fun story to read together, and especially fun when your young readers can read it to you! There is no moral, no lesson, just a fun story to relax and enjoy!”

The second Skwerdlock book features 30 new, original illustrations, and a little story made of rhyme and a fair share of silliness. Like “Meet the Skwerdlock”, this book is for early readers and listeners…from pre-readers through first grade…or those over 65 just needing an escape from all that comes with being over 65.

The Skwerdlock returns in a story about what can happen when a Skwerdlock is around. A mix of imagination, curiosity, and plain silliness, this is another book that is the perfect excuse to curl-up together on the sofa and laugh together with your early readers and listeners…from pre-readers through first grade.
